I've recommended this book to friends who aren't trying to lose weight before a wedding, just because it's a great book about diet and exercise. Perhaps the author will write another book that will reach a wider audience of women especially, who are struggling, like I was, to lose weight without sacrificing our health on a radical diet, fad diet or starvation diet. Now I'm proud of the way I look and my wedding photos and videos turned out "picture perfect". If you're looking around for a diet and exercise book, whether you are a bride-to-be or otherwise, this is the book to buy!

  • This author is totally cool. I mean, I know this is for brides, but he says it can be for anyone, men included. In my case the title would be 'Skinny Sexy Single'. This is not about weight loss, it is about fat loss. You'll lose inches. There are many testimonials before the book began and I just knew I would love this book!
    I have read many weight loss books, and even tried a few programs, but NONE of them told me this You can have two cheat meals each week. The author says you can eat 'anything' during the cheat meals, so if you want a piece of chocolate cake, mac and cheese, bread pudding, donuts- whatever, you can have it! That alone, is what made me give this book five stars. No other plan tells you that!
    What else I loved about this book He exposes several myths about losing fat. I was shocked at all this stuff we have been believing for years that is simply just not true. Another thing is the exercises he chooses for you are pretty easy, and you don't have to exercise every day. How does an hour a week sound to you? The food you have to eat and cannot eat is in three different groups BFF(Best Food Forever), Frenemies, and The Haters.
    The amount of food you can eat everyday is probably more than what I'd ever want to eat. With his program, you do not have to count calories or weigh yourselves. Every corner is covered in this book. To me he went above and beyond what was expected to make brides beautiful on their wedding day.
    He even gives you a list of restaurants from A-Z and what you can eat there. There are lots of resources at the end of the book and some of his recipes are included. As much as I praised this book, there was only one thing I didn't like. He is against soy products. I am a vegetarian, so eating soy is kind of hard to avoid. I drink Silk regularly, and since I don't eat animals of any kind, I eat health food (imitation meat) with vegetable protein. Still, I think he would probably argue I can get my protein from other sources like eggs, Greek yogurt and beans. Nevertheless, I will try this out, and post an update on this review when I have achieved some success. Whether you are getting married, or just want the fat off, believe me-this is the only book that you will ever need.
