• Not happy about this purchase for a four year old. I bought it to use for exactly what the description said it was intended for. I opened the book and was shocked what was inside. First page said “Eat a bag of dicks. A swear word coloring book for adults”
  
  Be Careful what you buy it may not be what you wanted.
• The tracing part is okay. But the matching images are ridiculous R for Retro Car, W for Walking Boat, Y for Yellow Boat (with a black and white picture) .
  And the kicker X for X-Mas Sleigh .
  Only 5.99 but it's going back.
• I'm not sure it's right to deduct one star from this product for the following reason, but I am. All of the noun words with the pictures are related to things that move. And some of the words are rather obscure just to fit the theme (see photos). I would have preferred words used more often for learning. However, the front does say On the Go in smaller letters and has all vehicle images. If you look at the image of the back of the book provided by the seller, you can see the on the move words and photos. I just didn't notice when purchasing. I was just focused on alphabet and sight words. Also, it would have been nice to make the pages perforated so the pages could be torn out for easier writing.

  2. The layout is well done and they’re able to write the upper and lower case letters and move towards the site words at the end of the book with other exercises so it’s a good book and there are a lot of pages
  3. has the full alphabet and a lot more this book is worth the money
• Bought for my 2.6 year old granddaughter, I think she is a tad to young for these. But she will be ready before I know it. Nice books.
• Super cute tracing book for my preschooler. I didn’t realize that this is geared for boys. It has pictures of trucks or cars on each page. My little girl doesn’t seem to notice or care, but just an FYI.
• Extreamly Helpful for children, especially for those who have never been in a daycare or pre-school. Grandson loves all of the cool colors as he puts it and is learning words and sounds of words!! Great Book!!!
• To be honest I didn’t really pay attention that this book was all about modes of transportation. I feel like some of them are a bit of a stretch. For example the L is an ocean liner but My four-year-old thinks it’s a boat. B is a Biplane but my 4 year old thinks it is an airplane. It’s been counterproductive for teaching the alphabet.

• I'll skip the details of the story and its writing, as other reviewers can attest to the quality of the book. Instead, I want to comment on how this book has the power to change a child's behavior and make him love books.
  
  I was first introduced to this book almost 35 years ago. As a recently immigrated child having difficulties adjusting to the school, I got into a great deal of trouble for acting out in the classroom.
  
  A kind teacher who saw my potential assigned the book to me during a parent-teacher conference. It made a huge impact on me -- it might seem like hyperbole, but this book may well have shaped my life. It instilled a great hunger for reading, and a love of learning.
  
  Over the years, I had forgotten the details of the story, but not its broad outlines. Two of the (to me) central themes engineering and self-sufficiency, sticks with me to this day.
  
  I now have my own kids. I have been increasingly concerned that the older one had not yet developed a sufficient interest in reading. I tried to get them started on this book, but was initially met with indifference when I tried to read the opening chapter to them. My wife did not back me up on this at first, either.
  
  But I persisted, and after a couple more tries, reading little by little at first before bedtime, I got the boys interested in the story. The real breakthrough came a few chapters in, when the boys begged to keep going. By the time we finished the book, they were fully absorbed into the book - there were nights when I (or my wife, who had also gotten into the book) were reading for nearly an hour! Some nights, we simply read it out to them. Other nights, the boys stayed up to read the words along with us.
  
  They have now asked to have other long-form stories. I think the boys have now graduated from short 10-page picture books.
  
  One of the best part of all this came this morning, about two weeks after we had finished the book. The boys aunt and cousins came over to visit, and the older one excitedly shared this book, reading it out to his aunt!
• I grew up with the animated film from the early 80’s and picked up the book in grade school, but declined due to “not being like the movie”...years later as an adult, I appreciate the Book way more than the movie. The book is a more in depth story that Don Bluth changed quite a bit in the film. (Still enjoy the film, but not as much as the book!) This Book is a treasured gem for all ages whether young or old or for the young at heart!!)
• I had heard of Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, but somehow got through my childhood without ever having read it. My 11 –year and 9-year old sons were reading it for their youth book club this last month. I read it with 9-year old Daniel in the evenings using the flip-flop technique. I would read a page and then he would read one.
  Mrs. Frisby is a widowed mouse with four young children living in a field. Her youngest son, Timothy is very ill and unfortunately it is time to move to summer quarters before Farmer Fitzgibbon starts to plow his fields. Mrs. Frisby seeks help amongst her neighbors and is told by a wise owl to get help from the Rats. When Mrs. Frisby meets the rats, she discovers far more about them and her late husband than she had ever imagined. Will they be able to save Timothy before the plow comes?
  Daniel and I both greatly enjoyed the story as did Kile as well. We had to have a discussion about it after we all finished. I fell asleep one night and couldn’t read further so Daniel took the book and finished it himself that night, I had to catch up the next day to see how it ended! It was a great heroic tale of Mrs. Frisby and her love for her children, but the entire rats sequence was very intriguing. Daniel loved finding out where they came from, but was a bit stressed out about the more suspenseful parts of the novel. We still want to know who the mysterious two rats were in the end! I really liked the ambiguous ending and the questions of ethics and morality that permeated the story.
  
  Overall, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is a wonderful fantasy novel that will delight readers of all ages.

• I read this book for the first time in third grade (several decades ago), and it remains one of my favorite books of all time. I bought it as a gift for my nephew recently, but ended up re-reading it myself. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time I read it. In fact, I didn't want it to end, and wanted to hear a lot more of the story of the rats. A great story, highly recommended for kids (and adults).

  My daughter saw the film before reading the book and found the text as intriguing as the film, within obvious limits, or
  vice versa. She remarked that the plotline mirrors so many real-life human plights so often exploited by the media. I
  compare it to "Animal Farm" and "Charlotte's Web" without the politico pathos. And, that the suppressed nobility of
  creatures in any context often must be encouraged (aka - even reverting to subterfuge) to overcome adversity and
  work toward a greater good and the collective benefit. Worth the time for child and adult. Indy
• I have such wonderful memories of this story! I read it in elementary school and it really stuck with me. My daughter loves to read (she's 8 but a bit advanced for her age) so I got this book for her. We decided to read it together-actually she read it to me. It was lovely to re-experience the story and to share it with her. I recommend it for advanced 3rd grade to normal 5th grade readers. Compelling but easy to follow story.

  -BENEFICIAL. You really can't go wrong buying this as, although it is simple, it mesmerizes babies while stimulating their brain growth.
  -NOT AGE-SPECIFIC. My son is almost 3 months old & continues to enjoy looking through the pictures as I make up stories about each one.
  -STURDY. I appreciate that it's a board book that will withstand use over time. It's also nice to be able to prop the book up for babies to examine during tummy time, etc.

  -Would love for this book to have just a few more pages.
  -Upon delivery, one of the pages did have a small crease down the center. Not a big deal & doesn't significantly alter the overall picture, but worth mentioning.

Perfect size for a diaper bag/purse. Durable too- my daughter teethed on this for months and it held up to 4 front teeth and a lot of drool.
  Have purchased this for 4 baby gifts and it is always a pleaser. Would recommend to anyone with an infant under 4-6 months. Best price here on as well- triple the price in my local big-brand bookstore.
• My husband thinks the pictures in this book are some CIA mind control for the baby, he stares at them totally hypnotized. I wish there were some words that went with it that I could read to him, but I just kind of make stuff up. The images definitely hold his interest for a while though, he's 4 weeks old and I'm eager to watch him progress with what types of books he likes. I'm glad these exist because I wanted to start him on reading at a young age!
• Baby likes all but last page. The first time she saw it, she was actively engaged, but for repeated use she seems to prefer Erin Balzer's black and white books (those do have a religious lean though, so some may not like that). But my baby definitely likes more variety than I thought she would, so I do recommend getting a few black and white ones. My baby started them at 2 weeks (before she was too sleepy) and is now 1 month. We only really look at 1 a day, but she is focused throughout the entire book. The only other book she has that attention for the pictures (besides these black and white ones) is a song book, Jesus Loves Me with illustrations by Tim Warnes. I don't know why since those are in color. She will listen to other books and look at me engaged if she does not like/see the pictures. I also recommend Goodnight Moon. I was surprised to see that she had the attention span to listen to the book, but she only likes the black and white pictures.
  
  I love Phyllis Limbacher Tildes' art, but I don't like the last pages of the black and white books either. It is a picture of a baby looking at a mobile. It is just okay. I do think it's worth it to see her light up like she just saw the most amazing thing, I just wish the last page was more black and white animals.
• The best few dollars I've ever spent! I bought this for my son when he was just a few weeks old. Those first few weeks are rough, since newborns can't really focus their eyes on much. Once he was able to start focusing on things, he really enjoyed this book!
  
  No, there aren't any words in it, and it is only 10 pages, and 8 are animal faces. They aren't super simple images compared to the Look Look book. They are a bit more detailed.
  
  I liked setting up the book in his pack n play so he could look at it. And I'd also flip through the pages for him and tell him what the animals are, or make animal sounds for him.
• I bought this for my two month-old baby and she is enthralled by this book! The images are awesome and she seriously perks up so much when I show her the pages. Her little feet get kicking like crazy and her eyes get big. I love that it's a board book. It makes it more durable and packable since we bring it with us often. I would definitely recommend this!
• I bought this book before my daughter was born because I know babies love black and white pics at an early age. We have a Dalmatian so she loves the cover. She is 18 months and still loves this book. Now I say, what sound does this animal make? And she says "baa" for the sheep pic. Too cute!! Glad I bought it!!

  I bought this black and white book on the assumption that it would be the high quality of the two books by Smriti Prasdan....Hello Animals and Hello Bugs. This book is so flimsy that I cannot give it to an infant. The front cover is so thin that it is bent.....printed in China. Am going to throw book in trash.
