Frankie Heart Audible Audio Edition M Jean Pike Rosie Law Black Lyon Publishing Books Reviews

  • Several years ago I bought a book by M. Jean Pike and found it filled with wonderful detail. I was drawn deep into the psyche and emotions surrounding the characters. When I saw this release I had to purchase it. I wasn't disappointed. Frankie and Rhoda drew me in and I couldn't stop reading. I'm not one to do a blow by blow synopsis of Frankies Heart, but I will tell you this...You will be drawn into a world of Love - not of self but of others. Do yourself a favor and by a copy and spend a weekend as I did. You won't regret a minute of it.
  • This story touched me on a personal level. Perhaps because Frankie's story was similar to my own and Tracy reminded me of my late husband. Needless to say I needed a few tissues before I'd finished. Frankie's Heart is a beautiful, heartwarming story of faith, forgiveness and second chances. The author's writing was superior as usual and her characters believable. Loved every page. If you like Christian romance, I don't see how you can go wrong with this one.
  • Beautiful, inspirational, heartwarming, emotional. I love the bible inspirations especially on forgiveness. This story touched me on many levels. Will definitely be checking out this author again
  • This is a wonderful story of love and forgiveness. It's well written and even brings in a little humor here and there
  • A beautifully-written story filled with tenderness, love, and hope. Another winner from one of my favorite authors.
  • Loved this book.
  • This beautifully story, starts out with a beautiful cover. I was taken in by the cover before I ever read anything about the story-line. This is my first exposure to Jean Pike and I love her. She writes such a heart warming and at the same time, heartbreaking sweet love story. There are so many wonderfully complex characters. I loved this story and all of the characters, I could not put it down.

Jean Pike is such an incredible storyteller, she will have you hocked withing the first few pages.
Frankie Bonetti is becoming such a strong, independent woman. Shortly after becoming a widow, she takes on a new job, with a new house, in a new town.

She has a heart of gold and she wants to rescue everyone, and very thing, even her rundown fixer-upper of an old house. It needed her! Just a warning, make sure you have tissues handy. Some of the relationships, friendships, and some of the rescues were not all sunshine and roses.

Tracy Johanson is a widower who has suffered his own lose, not just losing his wife. The easiest way for him to get by, is to withdraw from everyone and everything. He oversees his company, does his job and goes home to his frozen dinners. Little did he know, that one call to Frankie's house giving her an estimation for some home improvements would change his life.

I enjoyed this book by Jean Pike and can not wait to read another. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sweet, well written, clean, love story.
  • A new and fresh beginning are the words that come to mind after reading Frankie Bonetti and Tracy Johanson’s story. Frankie is making a new start in a new location, new home, a new job and new relationships.

This is a pleasant read that I thought was a joy to read. Frankie is a widow trying to piece her life together. Her spiritual faith is strong and her love for people is even stronger. Frankie may be new in the neighborhood but she makes a home for herself and also happen to make friends very quickly. I like that the author displayed Frankie’s spiritual growth as well as her growth in standing for good and for fairness. Though she was grateful for her job she had to deal with a boss who wasn’t too pleasing.

I like that the author has a strong main character like Frankie who is inspiring to read about. Frankie’s life wasn’t perfect but she has a beautiful spirit of love and caring for others. I enjoyed seeing the building relationship between Frankie and Lilly and I am glad that Frankie and Tracy found love and companionship but I think their relationship moved too fast from friends to loving one another. Frankie’s attraction to Tracy was clear from the beginning but with her being recently widowed I would have liked for there to have been a longer friendship instead of the instant love.

The story contains life events for both Frankie and Tracy. Frankie was dealing with a controlling husband and now adjusting to life after his death.

Tracy is dealing with his son after his wife’s death. Frankie is a strong woman who loves people for who they are. She is considerate and looks to help others. I enjoyed reading Frankie’s story. The characters are wonderful, and for the most part developed and easy to connect to. I also found that the writing was, with a few exceptions, well edited.

I like how the author allows the characters to blossom into the best version of themselves. This is a sweet story that ends with love and happy endings.
