"Some of the answers are literally just wrong, particularly in the 2nd test’s integrated reasoning section. They also don’t offer great essay section help (have no sample essays to look at nor any explanation on what your practice essay should look like. It feels irresponsible to sell a test-prep book with flaws and I’m unsure where all the 5 star reviews came from.
It’s frustrating to sweat over one of the practice tests and then to have an insufficient answer group.
After buying the book I took practice tests on the GMAT official website. The books tests are significantly easier and not a good indicator of how the test will appear. The overwhelmingly positive reviews for this review are baffling."

The overwhelmingly positive reviews for this review are baffling. - The GMAT Prep Book 2019 & 2020 is a well thought out and concise overview of test taking strategies for success on the Graduate Management Admission Test. I found the instructional sections were great for reviewing concepts that I had learned in High School and College. I completed my undergraduate education four years ago so the math review section was extremely helpful.
- The book is great. It gave me a lot of perspective on the GMAT exam. I hadn't really studied for GMAT before this book but it has helped me quite a bit on how I want to prepare for the exam.
- This book summarizes what I need to know & to expect for this coming June exam. This guides & explains every section very simple & detailed
- Nice book... but need more examples and exercise
- This 2019 study guide is awesome! This book doesn’t straight away jump into text question or anything of the sort. This guide explains the necessary factors you need to not only raise your score but also excell. It not only shows you how to solve for the answer but also gives you tips for yourself to take before studying, how to study, what to do before test day, and what to on test day.
- This prep book is perfect!!! Not only does this book walk you through what you will see on the exam, the book also offers 2 practice tests you can take and evaluate your areas of opportunity. Please don’t skip over the test taking strategies. There is an abundance of essential information in this section. This book is worth every penny!!!
- This book is crammed full of useful stuff to help you prepare for your test. It covers everything you find on the test and ensures you feel confident before you go in. Super well built and very handy for studying on the go.
